Thank you so much.
I promise you are a blessing.
I will cross every T and Dot every I from here out, again thank you.
You (AFGE) did a lot and very quickly to resolve the issue. You got me my retention bonus and they increased it from 10-15 %. If I did not reach out to the union, HR would have done nothing.
You guys are like a life-saver thrown to drowning person. When chatting about work, my adult daughter has often said she is so glad that I have a union to help with the crazy situations that we experience. You probably don’t hear that enough. Thanks again.
My experience with AFGE has been Great. I really feel as though my representative ( Jeff Wry) is attentive, hard working and knowledgeable about our rights. Any and every concern I have he is direct with an answer. I truly feel secure having him and AFGE backing me up. Thank you guys for everything you do for us.

Thank you Jill!
I appreciate everything you do for the union members and hope you have a great day.
You are always so helpful, quick, and informative. Thank you for being so good at what you do! It is very much appreciated!
Dear Jill Folsom,
I appreciate you helping me so much you are the best! I have heard from others how good you are. (Latoyia, Lindsey and Mary)
Jill helped me with a disciplinary concern in the SPS department.
Thank you for all you do.
Jill acted as my AFGE representative during a difficult situation in my career. She was not only knowledgeable, but invested and supportive throughout the whole process. She made herself readily available, always accessible to answer any questions I had and to fiercely advocate for my rights. Her passion for her role and her clients is obvious. Frankly, I’m not sure how I would have navigated the situation without her.
Jill acted as my AFGE representative on a couple of situations with HR and payroll. She took the stress off of me when dealing with these departments. Jill was supportive and always followed up to ensure the problem was resolved and problems were corrected. She is very knowledgeable of processes and contacts for the VA and attentive. Jill makes herself available and truly supports her clients. She gets things done!
I just want to send a thank you for making me feel included. The fruit and vegetables were fabulous and the salad was a great extra treat. It truly made my day.

"I think Jeff Wry is a great Union leader. He has helped me with an EEO complaint concerning Radiology Management. He has helped with Radiology Ultrasound issues dealing with our Supervisor mostly concerning a lack of communication with Ultrasound staff from our Supervisor. Jeff Wry has always been professional. I feel he gives very constructive advice. Sometimes, it’s what you want to hear and sometimes it’s not…which helps us trust him…helps the employee make an educated decision. An employee wants to give their best to their boss, facility etc. When there is a good working relationship, employee stay at their job. Less turn over of employees mean the facility saves money also."

Sorry I forgot to say thank you!! For your work & quick reply, I know you all are slammed every day. The VA process is so different than Dept of Defense!!

Unions: Now More Than Ever
Rights and protections that working people now take for granted didn’t exist before unions came along. In honor of Labor Day, the American Federation of Government Employees recalls what it was like for working Americans in those days and argues why unions are needed now more than ever.
What Have Unions Ever Done For Us?
Unions have long been part of our nation's history, fighting for better pay, safer working conditions, health care and retirement benefits, education and civic participation. Unions have brought diverse voices together, and their struggles have elevated the working conditions, the standard of living and the recognition of not just their members, but of all who labor.
